| 描述 | MSD offers a range of individual assays utilizing U-PLEX Antibody Sets that provide a rapid and convenient method for measuring biomarkers in complex matrices. The individual assays are offered on MSD GOLD Small Spot Streptavidin Plates and use the same antibody sets and diluents as the U-PLEX multiplex assays. This allows for efficient transfer between the individual assay and a higher throughput multiplex configuration. Typical of assays developed on the MSD platform, the individual assays have high sensitivity, excellent precision, provide up to five-logs of linear dynamic range, and require minimal sample volume. Erythropoietin (EPO) is a glycoprotein hormone made mostly in adult kidney that controls the production of red blood cells. In the fetal and perinatal period, EPO is produced by the liver which acts on the stem cells of the bone marrow to stimulate erythropoiesis. Accurate quantification of serum EPO levels serves as a diagnostic tool in determining blood-related diseases. For example, low levels of EPO can be observed in patient with anemia due to chonic kidney failure, while high levels of EPO could be indicative of polycythemia rubra vera, a disorder characterized by an excess of red blood cells. The U-PLEX Mouse EPO Assay provides the components for the quantitative determination of both natural and recombinant EPO in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. |
