内毒素水平 | <0.10 EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method. |
生物活性 | Measured by its ability to inhibit BMP-4-induced alkaline phosphatase production by ATDC5 mouse chondrogenic cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.04-0.2 μg/mL in the presence of 50 ng/mL of Recombinant Human BMP-4 (Catalog # 314-BP). |
溶解方法 | For a stock solution, reconstitute at 250 μg/mL in sterile PBS. For immediate use, simply roll ProDot |
背景 | Noggin is a secreted homodimeric antagonist of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs). It binds BMP-4 with high affinity and BMP-7 with lower affinity. Noggin regulates BMP activity in neural tube formation, somite patterning, cardiomyocyte development, and skeletal joint formation. Mutations of human Noggin are linked to multiple types of skeletal dysplasias that result in apical joint fusions. Noggin is expressed in defined areas of the adult central nervous system and peripheral tissues such as lung, skeletal muscle and skin. Noggin may also regulate the differentiation of embryonic stem cells into dopaminergic neurons. |
