- 保存条件
- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

- background:
Most abundant in pineal gland, less in retina and brain, not in pigment epithelium.
Function:
Produces melatonin (N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine) from N-acetylserotonin.
Tissue Specificity:
Expressed in the pineal gland (at protein level). In the retina, very low expression is found at the mRNA level (PubMed:7989373), and not at the protein level (PubMed:8574683).
Similarity:
Belongs to the methyltransferase superfamily.
