| 描述 | The OX-47 antibody reacts with rat CD147 (previously known as OX-47 antigen), a 54-kDa (unreduced) or 65-kDa (reduced) Ig superfamily protein with an unusual single-transmembrane domain. CD147 is the rat homolog of the human EMMPRIN, mouse gp42 or basigin, and the avian neurothelin or HT7 molecules. The CD147 molecule is widely expressed on both hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells and tissues. It is expressed on bone-marrow cells, thymocytes, some resting lymphocytes, peritoneal macrophages, and various epithelial cells and is strongly upregulated in activated T and B cells. CD147 has been detected in heart muscle cells, muscle tissues, and endothelium of brain capillaries and kidney tubules. The function of rat CD147 has not been characterized, but it is thought to play a role in cellular adhesion. |
