| 背景 | APLP-1 is a transmembrane metalloprotein that is expressed in centralneurons. Similar to APP and APLP-2, APLP-1 is susceptible to cleavageby various secretases, generating multiple fragments from theextracellular and intracellular domains. These include peptides similarto the amyloidogenic A beta peptides and a cytoplasmic fragment thatassociates with Fe65 family proteins and functions as a transcriptionalactivator. The extracellular domain contains heparin and collagenbinding regions and shares 89% amino acid sequence identity between human and mouse. |
