| 描述 | 14-3-3 proteins are a family of small, evolutionarily conserved proteins which display various wide-ranging functions. 14-3-3 isoforms are found in all vertebrates, invertebrates, plants and fungi. These have been classified in mammalian species as typical ( γ,η,β/α,ζ/δ,t ) or atypical ( σandε ) isoforms, based on their distribution and apparent functional roles. While 14-3-3 isoforms are expressed at ubiquitous, low levels in most human tissues, all 14-3-3 isoforms (with the exception of σ ) are primarily expressed in neurons. 14-3-3 proteins are highly enriched in areas of neuronal death associated with Alzheimers disease and have been reported as a marker for this disease. 14-3-3 σ , which inhibits the activity of Cdc25C. In response to DNA damage, Cdc25C binds to 14-3-3 σ , which inhibits the activity of Cdc25C and results in G2 cell cycle arrest. In addition, 14-3-3 may play a role in apoptosis via binding to the pro-apoptotic molecule, BAD. 14-3-3 isoforms have molecular masses of ~30 kDa on SDS-PAGE. C23-1 reacts with human 14-3-3. Full length, recombinant human 14-3-3 was used as immunogen. The C23-1 clone recognizes a 14-3-3 isoform of ~31 kDa on SDS-PAGE. The identity of this isoform has not been characterized at BD Biosciences Pharmingen. |
