| 背景 | MMP-7 (Matrilysin, 28 kDa) is the smallest member of the matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) family. It is expressed by normal and abnormal epithelial cells and is capable of digesting many proteins of the extracellular matrix. MMP-7 is implicated in the activation of Plasminogen, FasL, intestinal alpha-Defensin (important in innate host defense), and MMPs-1, -2, and -9, and in the release of TNF-alpha. Mouse MMP-7 is synthesized with a signal peptide and a propeptide; the preproMMP-7 shows 87% and 70% aa identity with rat and human preproMMP-7, respectively. |
