背景	The Integrin beta 1 subunit, also known as CD29 and VLA-4 beta, is a 128-132 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein member of the integrin beta -chain family of molecules. It associates with multiple distinct Integrin alpha subunits. The Integrin beta 1 subunit has a broad tissue distribution with the exception of erythrocytes. Over amino acids 21-728, mouse Integrin beta 1 shares 99% and 92% amino acid sequence identity with rat and human Integrin beta 1, respectively.
