CD161a is also known as, Natural killer cell surface protein NKR-P1A (Nkrp1a), or Lymphocyte antigen 55A (Ly55a), and is encoded by Klrb1a (Killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily B member 1A). CD161a is expressed on natural killer (NK) cells, and some activated T cells. CD161a may regulate natural killer (NK) cell-mediated cytotoxicity. |
