| 背景 | Fibroblast growth factor 19 (FGF-19) is a member of the FGF family, which controls several physiological and pathological development processes, including cell growth, cell survival, and morphogenesis. FGF-19 is involved in neural development and in regulation of metabolic processes in the gastro-intestinal tract, such as synthesis of bile acid, and is investigated as diagnostic marker of metabolic syndromes. FGF-19 is a heparin-binding growth factor and signals exclusively through FGFR4. Mouse FGF-15 is considered to be the ortholog of human FGF-19, sharing 50% of amino acid sequence identity. |
