It is particularly cytotoxic against S. aureus, including the methicillin resistant 535 strain (MICs = 3.1-6.2 µg/ml).1 Lydicamycin also inhibits the growth of C. neoformans (MIC = 25 µg/ml) but is ineffective against Gram-negative bacteria.1 |
