This assay utilizes MitoXpress® - Xtra, a phosphorescent oxygen probe, to measure oxygen consumption rate, and also quantifies extracellular lactate as a readout for glycolysis. Antimycin A, an inhibitor of the mitochondrial electron transport chain, is included as a control. The kit can be used for efficient screening of compounds that modulate mitochondrial and glycolytic function in cultured cells. |
