描述 | Serum amyloid P (SAP) is pentraxin with roles in inflammation and immune response.1,2 CPHPC is a divalent crosslinker of SAP that causes rapid depletion of circulating SAP via hepatic clearance.3 It also produces significant reduction of SAP from cerebrospinal fluid and visceral amyloid deposits.3,4,5 CPHPC has been used with anti-SAP antibodies to eliminate amyloid deposits in clinical trials of systemic amyloidosis.5,6 |
