描述 | Zearalanone is a major phase I metabolite of the mycotoxin α-zearalanol (zeranol), a non-steroidal estrogen produced by fungi.1,2 Zearalanone is an estrogen receptor agonist (EC50 = 0.11 µM).3 It also acts as an androgen receptor antagonist.4 Zearalanone, zearalenone (Item No. 11353), and related compounds can be abundant in plant material infected with Fusarium.5 |
