| 描述 | Emetine is the principal alkaloid produced by the ipecac root. It has antiprotozoal properties and induces emetic activity.1 Emetine inhibits protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells, but not prokaryotic cells, by binding to the 40S subunit of the ribosome. Additionally, it is reported to be cytotoxic to cervical cancer cells, inhibiting both NF-κB signaling and IκBα phosphorylation, as well as inducing caspase 3/7 activity.2 |
