- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

- background:
NACA2, Nascent polypeptide associated complex subunit alpha 2, prevents inappropriate targeting of non-secretory polypeptides to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) by binding to nascent polypeptide chains as they emerge from the ribosome and blocking their interaction with the signal recognition particle (SRP), which normally targets nascent secretory peptides to the ER. NACA2 also reduces the inherent affinity of ribosomes for protein translocation sites in the ER membrane (M sites).
Function:
Prevents inappropriate targeting of non-secretory polypeptides to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER).
