Sodium/sulfate cotransporter that mediates sulfate reabsorption in the high endothelial venules (HEV).

Highly expressed in placenta and testis with intermediate levels in brain and lower levels in heart, thymus and liver.
Similarity:
Belongs to the SLC13A/DASS transporter (TC 2.A.47) family. NADC subfamily.
