- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

This gene encodes a sperm membrane protein that binds the zona pellucida of the egg in a species-specific manner. The encoded protein may be involved in signaling or gamete recognition. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Binds in a species-specific manner to the zona pellucida of the egg. May be involved in gamete recognition and/or signaling.

Probably forms covalent oligomers.
Subcellular Location:
Cell membrane. Exclusively on the apical region of the sperm head.

In testis, primarily in haploid spermatids.
