- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

[FUNCTION] Has a omega-amidase activity. The role of omega-amidase is to remove potentially toxic intermediates by converting alpha-ketoglutaramate and alpha-ketosuccinamate to biologically useful alpha-ketoglutarate and oxaloacetate, respectively. Overexpression decreases the colony-forming capacity of cultured cells by arresting cells in the G2 phase of the cell cycle. [SUBUNIT] Homodimer. [SUBCELLULAR LOCATION] Cytoplasm. [TISSUE SPECIFICITY] Detected in fetal brain (at protein level). Ubiquitous. Detected in heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, pancreas, prostate, spleen, thymus, prostate, testis, ovary, small intestine and colon. [SIMILARITY] Belongs to the UPF0012 family.
