- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

Messenger RNA stability and translation initiation are extensively under the control of poly(A)-binding proteins (PABP). See PABPC1 (MIM 604679) for background information.[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2002]
Function:
Binds the poly(A) tail of mRNA. May be involved in cytoplasmic regulatory processes of mRNA metabolism. Binds poly(A) with a slightly lower affinity as compared to PABPC1.
Subcellular Location:
Cytoplasm.
Tissue Specificity:
Testis specific.
Similarity:
Belongs to the polyadenylate-binding protein type-1 family.
