- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

- background:
Endocannaboids such as arachidonoyl ethanolamide and 2-arachidonoyl glycerol function as short range modulators of cell and synaptic activity. Monoacylglycerol lipase hydrolyzes 2-arachidonoyl glycerol which terminates its biological actions. Monoacylglycerol lipase also works consecutively with hormone sensitive lipase to mobilize fatty acids from triglyceride stores of adipocytes. Monoacylglycerol lipase is expressed in kidney, spleen, heart, liver, testis, stomach, brain and lung tissue, and adrenal gland. It is most abundantly expressed in skeletal muscle and adipose tissue.
Function:
Converts monoacylglycerides to free fatty acids and glycerol. Hydrolyzes the endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoylglycerol, and thereby contributes to the regulation of endocannabinoid signaling, nociperception and perception of pain (By similarity). Regulates the levels of fatty acids that serve as signaling molecules and promote cancer cell migration, invasion and tumor growth.
