| 描述 | The therapy system consists of two reusable adsorbers that remove LDL cholesterol and Lp(a) from the patient’s blood. The plasma volumes processed during an LDL apheresis treatment can be adjusted to the patient´s need. Between the treatments, the adsorbers are stored in an anti-microbial storage solution and must be kept at 2 – 8 °C.Up to 20 treatments can be performed with a single pair of LDL pro adsorbers for one patient. The treatment is well tolerated due to the low bradykinin release that otherwise can cause severe hypotension. Furthermore, the low extracorporeal volume of about 180 mL allows for the treatment of patients with a low body weight in double-needle mode.TheraSorb LDL removal is a highly selective and acrylamide-free procedure.The Complete Disposables Set contains all single-use system components that are necessary for one treatment. This includes the tubing set, disk separator and solutions that are used for anti-coagulation, priming, buffering, elution, and preservation of the apheresis system. |
