- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

- background:
ILF1 is a 660 amino acid protein that localizes to the nucleus and contains one FHA domain and one forkhead DNA-binding domain. Expressed in lymphoid and non-lymphoid cells, FOXK2 uses magnesium as a cofactor and binds to purine-rich motifs in select promoters, possibly playing a role in the regulation of viral and cellular promoter elements. FOXK2 exists as multiple alternatively spliced isoforms and is subject to DNA damage-dependent phosphorylation, probably by ATM or ATR.
Function:
Recognizes the core sequence 5-TAAACA-3. Binds to NFAT-like motifs (purine-rich) in the IL2 promoter. Also binds to HIV-1 long terminal repeat. May be involved in both positive and negative regulation of important viral and cellular promoter elements.
Subcellular Location:
Nucleus.
Tissue Specificity:
Expressed in both lymphoid and non-lymphoid cells.
Post-translational modifications:
Phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR.
Similarity:
