- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

- background:
Involved in pre-rRNA processing. Utilizes the methyl donor S-adenosyl-L-methionine to catalyze the site-specific 2-hydroxyl methylation of ribose moieties in pre-ribosomal RNA.
Function:
S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent methyltransferase that has the ability to methylate both RNAs and proteins. Involved in pre-rRNA processing by catalyzing the site-specific 2-hydroxyl methylation of ribose moieties in pre-ribosomal RNA. Also acts as a protein methyltransferase by mediating methylation of glutamine residues (By similarity).
Subcellular Location:
Nuclear, nucleolus. Note=Fibrillar region of the nucleolus (By similarity).
Post-translational modifications:
By homology to other fibrillarins, some or all of the N-terminal domain arginines are modified to asymmetric dimethylarginine (DMA).
Similarity:
Belongs to the methyltransferase superfamily. Fibrillarin family.
