- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

- background:
NPTX1 is a member of the neuronal pentraxin gene family. Neuronal pentraxin 1 is similar to the rat NP1 gene which encodes a binding protein for the snake venom toxin taipoxin. Human NPTX1 mRNA is exclusively localized to the nervous system.
Function:
May mediate uptake of degraded synaptic material which could play an important role in synaptic remodeling. Can mediate the neuronal and glial uptake of the snake venom toxin taipoxin.
Subcellular Location:
Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle (Potential).
Similarity:
Contains 1 pentaxin domain.
