- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

This gene encodes a protein that functions as part of a heterodimer to activate transcription. The encoded protein forms a heterodimer with Max-like protein X (MLX) and is involved in the regulation of genes in response to cellular glucose levels. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2014]
Function:
Binds DNA as a heterodimer with MLX and activates transcription. Binds to the canonical E box sequence 5-CACGTG-3. Plays a role in transcriptional activation of glycolytic target genes. Involved in glucose-responsive gene regulation.
Subunit:
Efficient DNA binding requires dimerization with another bHLH protein. Binds DNA as a homodimer or a heterodimer with MLX.
Subcellular Location:
Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Mitochondrion outer membrane.
Tissue Specificity:
Widely expressed in adult tissues. Most abundant in skeletal muscle. Ref.1

Contains 1 bHLH (basic helix-loop-helix) domain.
