- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

Note: This locus was originally considered to be protein coding, but has been reclassified as a transcribed pseudogene because all associated transcripts are candidates for nonsense-mediated decay (NMD). PMID: 10369937 and 16492762 also state that this locus is likely to be a pseudogene. [14 Jul 2009]
Function:
Receptor on natural killer (NK) cells for H-2d alleles. Inhibits the activity of NK cells thus preventing cell lysis.
Subunit:
Homodimer; disulfide-linked.
Subcellular Location:
Membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein.
Tissue Specificity:
High, in T-lymphoma lines, very low in normal lymphocytes.
Similarity:
Contains 1 C-type lectin domain.
