- Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

This gene encodes a member of the CHIC family of proteins. The encoded protein contains a cysteine-rich hydrophobic (CHIC) motif, and is localized to vesicular structures and the plasma membrane. This gene is associated with some cases of acute myeloid leukemia. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Subcellular Location:
Cell membrane. Cytoplasmic vesicle. Also present at a Golgi-like vesicular compartment and at scattered vesicles.
Post-translational modifications:
Palmitoylation in the CHIC motif is required for membrane association.
DISEASE:
Note=A chromosomal aberration involving CHIC2 is found in a form of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Translocation t(4;12)(q12;p13) with ETV6.
Similarity:
Belongs to the CHIC family.
